Pick up at the airport and transfer to the Hotel/Riad.
Pick up from the airport and transfer to the Hotel/Riad. The first day is dedicated to the visit of Marrakech. Known as the "red city" for the colour of its walls and buildings, it is full of gardens and interesting sites. A unique experience will be to discover the "Jmaa El Fna" square, where the life and activity of the city is concentrated, with dancers, storytellers, jugglers, craftsmen, traders and snake charmers. There is the possibility of a guided tour of the city. Overnight in Marrakech in Hotel/Riad.
We will depart after breakfast crossing the High Atlas through a pass of 2260 meters. We will pass through Berber villages until we reach the fortified village of Ait-Ben-Haddou, site of reception of caravans across the Sahara desert and where several famous movies have been shot. We will have lunch in this magnificent setting. In the afternoon we will drive to Ouarzazate, the "Hollywood of Morocco". Here it is possible to visit the film studios. Our route will then continue southwards towards Dades. We will appreciate the oasis and palm trees, the numerous kasbahs and the landscape of the Middle Atlas. We will be able to take a walk in the quiet of the mountains where the Berber people make their home. In Dades we will have dinner and overnight.
From Dades we will continue to Merzouga, through the Gorges of Todra. We will discover typical villages and meet nomads in the mountains. We will take the tar road and cross the palm grove of Tinghir, one of the most beautiful and vast in Morocco, before reaching the town of Erfoud. From here we will take the track that will take us to the Merzouga desert. We will exchange the 4x4 for a dromedary ride to watch the sunset among the dunes and enter the Berber tent camp. After a welcoming tea, we will enjoy a typical dinner and an unforgettable evening, under the stars and around the fire, always accompanied by typical Berber songs and dances.
After breakfast, we return to the dunes and the road. We will pass through several villages and the oasis of Merzouga, the Sergie lake and make a stop in the village of Khamlia, people originally from Mali, to listen to African music. We will continue our way to Fez, passing through Rissani, the former economic capital of Morocco, the Ziz Valley, Tafilalet and Midelt, enjoying its panoramic views of palm trees and gorges. We will reach Azrou, contemplating the wonderful landscapes of the Middle Atlas and the Cedar Forest with its Gibraltar monkeys in freedom. Then we will pass through Ifrane, the so-called "Moroccan Switzerland" and arrive in Fez at the end of the day, where we will have dinner and spend the night.
The last day will be reserved for the guided tour of the Medina of Fez and transfer to the airport, depending on the flight time.
